In addition Slovenia, Estonia, Slovakia, Latvia, and Lituania have joined the Euro since it started. I don't have any of those, and i have been in all five countries. The designs are different for each coin, but unlike the originals, they will have the name on them (it's now required). I'd love a coin or three from each . Cyprus, and Malta have also recently joined the Euro. I don't have any of those -- i suspect they will be rare. The designs are different for each coin, but unlike the originals, they will have the name on them (it's now required). The three microstates that are not part of the Eurozone, but use the Euro because their larger neighbors do, Monaco, Vatican City, and San Marino each mint Euro coins but only as collectibles, they don't circulate, so if you see one, grab it for yourself or for me. The Vatican and Monaco have 2 or 3 sets each. Many countries mint commemorative 2 Euro coins and if you see a cool one of those, i'd enjoy it. Germany mints some extra 2 Euro coins -- they are doing a Länder series, like the US State Quarters. If you see any of those, and you would like to bring them to me, i would be excited.
